Neohome Guide

Making your pet a NeoHome is practically a must. The process of making one is alot of fun, and when you're finished, your pet will just love you for it! There are a number of steps to creating a good NeoHome and some Do's and Don't's aswell.
Location is quite important, afterall it's where your pet will be spending their golden years, right? It depends what your pet is like. The neighbourhoods are: Neopia Central, Mystery Island, Spooky Woods, Terror Mountain, Faerieland, Tyrannia, Lost Desert. If your pet is a Uni or a Usul, it suggests they might be a bit more exotic. You might want to build in Faerieland or the Lost Desert. If your pet is a Scorchio, or something that likes scary places.. the Spooky Woods might be good for it aswell. But don't let that make your decisions. Make sure the location is something you can afford aswell. Faerieland isn't always the best option since it costs 25,000np to buy a plot of land there.

Once you have your plot, it's time to start building! It's up to you about what to build your house of. You can be experimental like me, and build a room out of each material, hehe. You can go all out for it and buy a Gold room, or if you don't have as much money, just a nice solid Brick room might do you good. There's a type of material to suit everyone, whether it be Cloud, Jelly, Sticks, Gold, Silver and so on... Just make sure to pick something that looks good, and that doesn't cost you an arm and leg!

Upgrades don't do anything, at least not yet. They just sound good and add a sentence to your User Lookup. If you have the neopoints, sure, why not upgrade, but if can't really afford it, don't worry about it yet. Neopets does plan to make them work at one stage, so you should think about getting them at least!

Once you've bought, built, upgraded, you're ready to get your pet settling in. But before your pet can move in, you need furniture! Head down to the Furniture Shop and take a look at some of the furniture available. There are many different types, but I personally love Kauvara furniture. I don't recommend getting Dung Furniture.. it smells and it doesn't look all that good. You should try and get furniture that matchs with the room and other decore. If you don't know what furniture you want, explore around Neopets and you might get some ideas in people's shops. The cheapest furniture you can buy (besides Dung) is Stone, but Kau Print furniture is fairly cheap and looks good at the samet ime. But remember, it's your choice!

We hope your Neopet enjoys your new Neohome!
